Marley portrait — The Heart Warmer Experience

For the greying muzzles and gentle souls

The Heart Warmer
Experience

There's a quiet depth to life
with a senior pet.

The slow morning walks, the familiar weight of them leaning into you, the way they still light up when you come home.

The Heart Warmer is a gentle, unhurried photography session for this chapter. No rushing, no posing. Just your pet, exactly as they are right now. Whether you're celebrating the grey years or holding space for a goodbye, these sessions are shaped around what your pet needs, and what you'll want to remember.

What Makes It Special

Built around your pet, not a shot list

Every session starts with your pet's comfort. The shape of it changes depending on who they are, what they need, and how the day feels.

At Their Pace

Gentle, patience-led from start to finish

If they need a slow wander, a long sniff, a lie-down in the shade, or a break curled up beside you, that becomes part of the session. Nothing is hurried and nothing is forced.

Where They Feel Safe

Familiar places, natural moments

At home, in the garden, or in a favourite familiar spot, I photograph them where they can settle, feel safe, and simply be themselves.

Room For Feeling

Support through the tender bits

These sessions can feel light, joyful, bittersweet, or all three at once. However it feels on the day, I'll guide things gently and give you space to be fully present with them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Things you might be wondering

My pet has limited mobility. Is a photoshoot still possible?

Absolutely. The Heart Warmer session is specifically designed for pets with mobility challenges. I work entirely around your pet's limitations, bringing the session to them rather than expecting them to pose.

How do you handle pets who might be experiencing pain or discomfort?

Your pet's comfort is the priority. Sessions include as many breaks as needed, and I follow your guidance completely regarding your pet's limits. If at any point your pet seems uncomfortable, I pause or adjust the approach.

Is this only for pets nearing end-of-life?

Not at all. Many people book a Heart Warmer simply because their pet is getting older and they want beautiful photos of this stage. The slower walks, the silver face, all of it. You don't need a reason beyond wanting to remember them as they are right now.

How long until my images are ready?

Heart Warmer galleries are always prioritised. You'll have your images within 7 days. If time is a factor, let me know and I'll do everything I can to get them to you sooner.

Let's Do This

These Moments Matter

I only take a small number of Heart Warmer sessions each month so I can give each one the time and care it deserves. If you're thinking about it, I'd love to hear about your pet.
